Our primary services are corporate business private jet charters utilising our Learjet 35A or Citation II aircraft, as well as entertainment flights in our DC3 “Gooney Bird” or the executive jets.
Shortstop’s private jets are the ideal travel mode for corporate personnel or business goods to be transported with the highest levels of efficiency, dependability and privacy. With a travel range of up to 3800 kms our aircraft can service Australasia and the Pacific.
Our nostalgic and entertainment charter flights are ideal for private individuals and groups for celebrations and occasions as well as effective corporate promotional activities in Melbourne or Australia.
We also have a choice of ex-military warbirds for charter that are popular with aviation enthusiasts, can participate in airshows and are used for movie shoots and commercial promotions or pilot training and experience.
An increasing part of our activity involves consultation and advice on all aspects of Corporate Aviation. We research, evaluate, audit, negotiate and bring into service business aircraft on behalf of some of the leading companies and individuals in the region.
Our experience of more than thirty years of these tasks gives us the background to provide practical aviation advice, no matter what the requirement. We've had a part in arranging the purchase or sale of more than one hundred million dollars of aviation hardware over the past few years.

DC-3 Weather Policy
Weather Weather Weather...... Folks, flight in our DC-3 are extremely weather reliant. We only operate them in good to excellent flying conditions. This is for comfort reasons, not flying safety per se.
We fly at low altitudes, where the air can be turbulent to various degrees, resulting in a sometimes vibrant aviation experience.
Lots of people love this, but most don't.
These are pleasure flights, and we regard them differently to our business and medical charters in our jets which are rerquired to go in any legal flying conditions.
Fuel Surcharge
With great regret due to the ever increasing fuel cost we have had to apply a fuel surcharge to our Gooney Bird Flights. We apologise for this price impediment and will remove the surcharge once the current high fuel price decreases back to a manageable level. For Dinner Flights the surcharge will be $5.00 PP and for King Island Flights 10.00 PP.
Hawker 800XP
SJC is pleased and excited to announce the arrival of Hawker 800XP VH-ZUH to its fleet. The aircraft will initially be operated in the private category and it is anticipated that it will be available for charter from late February. All of the Hawker crews have been trained at Simcom in Orlando. The aircarft is imamculate in all respects and is capable of missions up to 2800 nautical miles. It has been fiited with Aviation Partners blended winglets improving range, fuel consumption and single engine performance.
